- Lots of garments in white and cream, so if
you happen to be in Europe during their summer stock up
on light pants, jackets and dresses
- Bright happy colours, are coming back: red,
pink, yellow, blue, green, silver and animal prints. Tone
it down slightly for work.
- Platforms are still in fashion but they are
becoming slightly slimmer and more feminine.
- Spring/Summer beauty:
- Molten metallic eyes: Tarnished gold
looks great on dark or olive skin, and silver lilac
is stunning on blondes. Or you could try blending metallics
with brown or khaki. Less is more, so keep the colour
just on the lids. That way you'll get sexy flashes every
time you blink.
- Nicely nude lips: to get you lips in
a tip top condition massage them with a soft toothbrush,
and apply good lip balm 10 minutes before applying any
colour.
- Smoldering kohl - if you don't like black
kohled eyes, try inky blues or moss greens (especially
if you are blonde). The eyeliner should be smudgy and
sexy. Smudged kohl works on everyone. It defined and
adds depth to smaller eyes and if you flick it out,
it will make them appear wider.
- Sheer skin: Mineral based foundations
will give you a matt, candlelit look that's much more
flattering than dewy skin, especially for those of us
with less than perfect complexion.
Classic: black jacket plus white shirt
(try high collar shirt for the look).
Heavy chain belts show off slinky hips
and will add subtle glamour to dark indigo.
Keep the look smart, chick and groomed
scruffy trainers and tatty flip-flops are a definite no-no.
stock
up on boy shorts (hipster style pants that wont ride up and
over your jeans. Sparkly g-string peeping over your waistband
is never a good (or comfy) look.
wear
snow wash. There may be an 80s revival, but stay away.
try on
as many styles as possible, What you might love on the hanger
may not return the love when they're on your rear.
ignore
the fact your lovely new jeans need turning up- letting them
drag along the floor will ruin them. Get them altered professionally.
